I have a freeware midi making program. It was designed for windows 95, but should work fine on other versions of windows. Only problem is the helpfile is useless unless you already know how to make midis.

I'd rate it low on the quality end compared to linux midi makers, but that's what you get when you don't pay for it...unless you have a Linux.

Edit: I'll upload it somewhere if you want it.

Anvil Studios is a really good midi maker. It's freeware too. www.anvilstudio.com

It may take a while to download if you don't have cable though.

I've switched from using Mozart to Anvil Studio, my music has suddenly gotten a lot better. Although its hard to loop songs without the music changing position

Anvil doesn't expire. I don't see where it's shareware.

mod plug tracker can do midis, as well as .mod, .it, etc. and its free. might find it a little hard to use though.

You could also try Midget. It has a ModPlug-like interface.

Oh! My god.
