I run MMFE is Windows XP and it wont let me change animation speeds or path movement speeds (maybe others i haven't tried). The slider moves but the animation stays at 100 ><. I'm downloading the update again see if that helps, butplease post here if you know what i can do
ok update patch doesn't fix it and i've narrowed down the problem to all slider bars, eg. movement speed and shoot speeds, however on shoot speed there is a dialog box where i can type in a speed perfectly and it works. really need to fix this otherwise my games are gonna be at super fast mode lol
Weird - try reinstalling it completly. If that doesnt work try useing tgf and setting the animation speed to say 50 and import that to mff. See if that works, if not I would say to try and get windows updates as well. Also, someone may have alreayd had this problem. Do a search on the clickteam forums.
I get similar bugs with animation speeds reversing themselves if I don't click in a separate speed window and saving =P
Best I've been able to do is just watch it; let MMF confirm your changes by clicking elsewhere and hitting save, then double-checking to make sure it took. Worst case scenario you can have always/loop events that will force the speed/animation speed of the objects to be whatever value you choose.
This annoyance is caused by Windows XP.. not been able to find a way to fix it unfortunately, I had to switch over to TGF to change them as suggested :\
i dont have tgf, i installed it on my computers at school who run win 2000 and does the same shit, i think xp was built off 2000 though wasn't it? anyone know where i can get tgf?
uh.. the clickteam website by perchance? That might be a place to start considering that they sell it you don't need the standerd or pro version because you have mmf to compile your games with so don't need to buy it.
Not so on my XP computer. But, on my old XP laptop, I suffered the same issue, and I never found a way to fix it... So, I dunno what to tell you, BloodSoft.
won't you look up at the skyline
at the mortar, block, and glass
and check out the reflections in my eyes?
you see they always used to be there
even when this all was grass
and I sang and danced about a high-rise
