i've downloaded DMC 2, i've installed it correctly, but when i test the frame, i hear a strange crappy sound and then the game crash... Can anyone help me?
unfortunately you have forgotten to tell what you use. TGF? MMF1.2? MMF1.5?
DMC? DMC2? newest version of DMC2? there once was an old dmc2 version as i know ...
what is your initialisation code? have you initialized BASS.DLL ? should be done at start of application.
is the BASS.DLL in the right folder?
do you load the file without limitations, like start of frame or only one action ...? remember that without limitations the code cycles 50 times per second ...
have you also taken care that at end of frame/application the BASS.DLL is terminated ?
what kind of file do you want to load? *.mp3? which compression? 96kbps? 128kbps? 160 kbps? tags inside?
or a modfile? which format? *.s3m? *.it?
Well, i am using MMF 1.5 and mods for backgroundmusic .and i have decided to use modfusion for further games. no more bass.dll ...
for mp3 there is the directsound object in mmf 1.5 as i know ... also without bass.dll
bass.dll is a very expensive thing if you want to buy a licence for commercial games ... using it is only free for freeware. still, most of clickgames are freeware anyway .
