It it possible to play more than one sample (wav file) or MIDI file at at time.

I'm trying to set up my own customised mouse controlled sample player so that longer samples are allowed to finish even if another one has started.

Any ideas?

Thaks, Dave S.

You can play multiple samples at once. Just check the box that says "Multiple Samples" in the Game Setup. However, you cannot play more than one MIDI at a time. This has to do with the MIDI Mapper. It can only map one MIDI at a time, and if you try to play a second one while the first one is still playing, the second one will not start.

Yeah, go to File, Game options and check the Multisamples box.

it is impossible to play 2 or more MIDI files at the same time... what you want to do is convert your MIDI to WAVE and play them at the same time

Mr Icekirby says so!

If you convert your midi to wav though, it'll be much much bigger.

Anyone heard of MP4? Apparently it's gonna be even smaller then mp3 file. Sounds like good news for games developers.

There's already MPEG4, it's a video codec.
