Does anyone have any information regarding the next Command and Conquer game, I here it is going to be Tiberian dawn or something like that using the same Engine as CNC Generals does...

hot damn, i wasted half my life playing C&C (original DOS version!). now THAT was a good game.
there is no information on the next one yet, to my knowledge. i've read that Tiberian Twighlight would be the name of the final "tiberian" series (tiberian dawn was the first one!). but of course they could be making Red Alert 3, which would definetly be advisable, as Tiberian Sun was such a flop and RA2 was very popular. and i hope that if they do use the generals engine they optimize the damn thing, it can produce some very sweet visuals but it chews the hell out of your processor and you need a really powerful machine to get anywhere near its potential.
I've always been useless at the Command and Conquer games, and in fact any real time strategy. Interesting that the entire series evolved from Dune, though.
Yeah, I just bought a top-of-the-line PC (with only a 2.6 Ghz instead of those damn 4 Ghz processor) and it still has trouble handling C&C Generals when you crank it to full, with maximum resolution and particles. It hovers perfectly with minimum res, average particles, and with all the other options turned on though. I've played it before on some decent Pentium 3 comps and it ran REALLY slow. If Warcraft III could run at a decent speed, why can't they make C&C gens do the same?
RA2's main appeal was because you could 'conquer the world' and because of all the visuals. It's still has good gameplay, though, putting aside the fact that the tank rushes are a tad too powerful.
WCB, the secret to C&C is to tank rush, control the resources, and/or just guard a bunch of superweapons with tanks and anti-air weapons.

It would be better, if the westwood
(now known as EA games)
would do a newer version of that
old classic original dune.
And red alert 3 would be very good game,
iīve always dreamed about destroying the whole
U.S.A, bad thing that the soviets are communists,
it would be better if they would be on the right side
(i dont know who does it go on other countries, but the
communist are on the left side and the (see that thease are the tops of both side)
right side is fasisist.
It would be more better if the westwood would do a game about
finnish winterwar against the soviet union..
Those russians had ībout 13 times bigger casultaties
than we had.. (we: 20 000 soviet empire: 300 000)
Oh, well.. there is always that Finnwars game which i can play..
(altough itīs not a stradegy game)
I have a AMD 2600 with a Radeon 9700 Pro, and Generals runs fine at 1600 X 1200. I think it is dependant on having a fast video card, more than a fast CPU.
99 percent chance that the above post is 100 percent correct.
