I know that a lot of people put "Copyright 2004, all rights reserved" and so on and so forth. But has anyone REALLY copyrighted anything? I've only copyrighted 1 thing, and it wasn't a game (it was a cartoon concept/artwork). So has anyone copyrighted anything? :/

apparently, writing that will actually place your stuff under a copyright, but unless it's actually registered through a patent company, there's nothing you can do about it if someone steals it. Most people just write it to deter people from nabbing anything.
Oh, your question. I usually 'copyright' my games and such

you automatically own copyright on anything you create, and provided you can prove you created it, then that's legally binding. of course proving you created it may be difficult, hence patents etc come in.
Yeah, all work is copywrighted automatically (it's called Intellectual Property), and you dont need to display a copyright message for this to be in effect. Though this doesnt protect you from everything, people can still send your game (or whatever) to someone else without paying royalties. If you want to do that, it needs to be registered with the actual government body that regulates these things.

Someone mintioned making fingerprints in the code to prove you made it (Useless code inside the game), I thought it was a good idea. But I doubt anybody here has the time... ok wait.. money to go into court over a free game they made.
