Hi. I want to make a cool game using MMF, but more then that, a FUN game. I have made countless "cool" games, from platformers to text adventures. but never anything really fun. The prob is, I don't have that much time on my hands, and so I am only going to use the pre-made graphics in the MMF Libraries. I also dont want to have to do too much of the fancy scripting and parsing, although a little is okay. Any suggestions for a fun game I can make?

Well games generally take time. So why not use that little bit of time you have over the course of a few weeks\months to create something really nice. People don't care if your graphics and gameplay suck, but they can't stand library graphics. Make something that you like, and if you like it chances are other people will like it.

Whatever you are going to do, it has to be full of huge weapons, explosions, huge bosses, huge levels, lots of enemies, blood, to make people like it.
Or just make something in old console game style, some people really dig that.
Dont worry about people, they will totally point out if you use any midi not made by you, any sprite/baclground not made by you, any whatever not made by you.

For a fun game... umm... make a hack 'n slash with... penguins with big swords... and cyberdragons.. anime style?

Thats a good idea... exept i cant draw worth BEANS on the computer. Id REALLY like to make my own grahpics and all, but... I cant. Even IF I do make a good Sprite, Its only the "STOPPED" animation. I can't do animations either. DOes someone have tips on how to make good sprites?

Animations are hard for everyone. The only advice I can offer you is to PRACTICE. Thats it. You're not born a brilliant spriter, you've got to learn to master your skills.

I've been in the community for over three years, and been making games for longer than that, and I'm only JUST starting to get at least average with graphics.

My advice is that you start with very thick, 5 pixel outlines and small 16x16 graphics, and slowly reduce the outline size whenever you feel confident enough to move on.

Cool text adventures? Isn't that like an oxymoron?

Muggus: There was a problem with the early Spectrums where it would overheat. So you'd put a bottle of milk or bag of peas on it to cool it down. Hence 'cool text adventures'. (And it's a contradiction of terms, which is like an oxymoron)
