What's a good program for editing audio? Free one preferably. You know, for increasing, decreasing volume, sounds, frequencies, cutting off, inserting bits, etc.

Right now I'm using Audacity, but in tha past I've just gotten a heap offa download.com and just used one to do what another couldn't.

I recommend Goldwave... (www.goldwave.com) i've been using it for more than 5 years, and i still use it for everything.

My sound card is a cheap bog-standard Sound Blaster 16, and it still came with a pretty good audio editor on the driver CD rom. So you might wanna check your sound card software out.

Creative Wave Studio? I used to use that a lot.
