Hey,

For my game Newklear Minigolf i need a paint program so you can design your own character and ball, so whoever makes or has a open source paint program with different brush sizes and shapes (mainly circle square... simple shapes) and also different colours gets to see the project as it goes along!

To see the preview of the game go to www.newklear.com

wouldn't it be easier to just have an "import picture" option and use the active picture object thereafter?

Hmm...that's even more dedication than a breakout game with a level editor...I like it!

so, I'd suggest just using an Active Picture Object and load up Appdrive$+Appdir$+"Balls\*.jpg" or *.gif, or *.bmp or all of them. Then let the user pull from that list the ball they want to use. If you need any help, try taking a look at the Virus BK* source code. It allowed users to make custom skins. Just look at the options menu and the main menu code.

Try The Gimp! Loads of options and effects, and saving can be done in about 30 different formats!
