Hi folks, I made this post on KA too, but I wanted to do some shameless advertising http://www.klikacademy.com/forums.php?forum=2&thread=429
I am working on a gfx course right now, and I want it to be better than the one I did a year ago (which did work for one person, but didn't for 5 persons). Basicly I am writing a big tutorial now, but most of the stuff I am writing is already in the common gfx tutorials (like Marks pixel art tut). So I need your help here.
I need to know what people want to learn about creating graphics, I will base my lessons on that. (note that this course will be about pixel art, so no photoshop/3dstudio/Maya/Lightwave)
I made a list of lessons I could give, just tell me which ones are useful and post your requests
- Lineart (different ways to make your lineart)
- Choosing colours (basic rules/tips about colouring)
- Shading (all kinds of shading)
- Dithering (different ways of dithering, and not the bad way I used in the KA banner )
- Size (choosing a basic size of your gfx to fit them in a grid)
- Putting them together in a game (how to put the gfx together in harmony)
- Animation (not sure about this one)
Thanks in advance

I'd like any of them
though I probably am only good at 3D animation and not pixelart
As a boy, I wanted to be a train. I didn’t realize this was unusual—that other kids played with trains, not as them.

I'd like color/shading tutorials. So these lessons would be applicable in MS Paint or the Clickteam image editors?

yeah, any simple paint program will do, as long as you can convert it to .png or .gif to show it online. (bmp will do too but is kinda big)
