Darksun Games' Answers:
I'm sorry that these answers where not in the Chain Reaction but Anthony Lopes, the author of Darksun Games didn't return my mail that fast. Anyway, his plans for the future are:

Well, My big project now is my dream game: a Darksun Fighting game. I've been wanting to do this since.. about 95. This time around the game will be developed in C++. A friend of mine who is a great program will be coding the whole thing. I also have another friend helping with the art, and another friend doing the music. It's really awesome because all the limitations and problems of MMF will be gone. I can do and plane things I've never been able to do. I can concentrate on the gameplay and graphics now, because I don't have to spend days wondering how I'm going to get past a tiny limitation that throws everything out of whack! I'm trying to simulate cartoon action. It will definately have an anime flavor (although it doesn't really head classical anime route) but it will contain a dramatic flair that I think can make the game very exciting.
Me again: He also noticed that the first thing updated on his site will probably be his first animated character and some ingame music...

Natomic Studios Soon?:
I've mailed Akira, creator of bananarama and member of Natomic Studios to ask about his longtime down site. I was getting kinda' nosey about what's going on with there site and projects. This is what he mailed back...

Akira- A lot of people have been wondering when the Natomic site will come back into the light of day. I honestly have no idea when we'll be ready to launch. I can tell you however that we have been working diligently to ensure that when it does launch everything will be perfect. So far the new site can be fully skinned, features a wonderful forum, and will come complete with a collection system similar to DF Designs with a bit of a twist. Every game is being repackaged and all vitalize games are being made downloadable. There will be a new game when the site launches as well as a few new little extras to keep visitors occupied. We also have some new projects over the horizon but most are too early to mention. When we finally do launch don't be surprised to see some new faces..

I'll be updating the Chain Reaction as soon as the author returns my mail!

I found a link: MMF relies on C++, just ask an extension developer ;)

LOL when you guys use MMF and make a game with it you actually made a game in C++ with just using events because MMF is made in C++ it just uses events to code certain C++ lines that make the game work and so forth.

so it cloaks the hard bits using really easy 'links'

Actually a lot of MMF is made in Assembly.

Regardeless what language an autoring program is made with, the final product is NOTHING like a program made from scratch. It will never be as clean an efficient. It will also be limited to what the program alows. Here's an example. take a book in english and stick it through a free online translator and translate it into Japanese. Then translate that into english again through the same translator and tell me it's really in english. making something in an authoring program is NOT like making in C++. There are so many different WAYs to code something in C++ that the very fact that you can't even choose your method is restrictive. Being able to choose the right methof for your code is integral to having fast, clean, safe coding. So when you use MMF, you are using a PROGRAM made in C++ and Assembly, that translates input BACK into code using IT'S OWN method. It's not C++.
