Christmas Compo Rules are up
News posted 19th November, 2003 by Pete Nattress
Just a note to say that the 2003 Christmas Compo rules are up and can be found HERE for the time being, I’ll get Shadow to put them on the “official” compo page at a later date. Read them and read them well, especially all the legal mumbo jumbo. Have fun making your game!

But I CAN enter the contest without a game creation program of Clickteam, right? Even if I won't get prizes? :P

Posted by Pete Nattress 19th November, 2003

no, you're not allowed to enter if you have not used a clickteam product to make the game, like the rules say. :/

Why do compos like this always have stupid deadlines? Who wants to play Christmas games in January. It boggles the mind.

so what about snow ball fights?

Why do comps have that people under 18 rule? Besides, how would you know if I asked either of them? by the way, I'm going to try to make a snowboarding game if everything goes well.

Just something I've found... I understand that by clicking "I Agree" as a minor without parental consent to submit my game, grant publishing rights to Clickteam, and provide my personal details, my submission will be disqualified, and my prize will be void should my entry win. I agree to provide proof of the above consent (or emancipation where applicable) on request by Clickteam and/or The Daily Click staff. There is no "I Agree" to click on, and I think that legally makes the above rule void. Someone may want to fix that before some smart arse enters something prohibited by the above criteria and uses the legality of it against TDC.

"Submissions must be created using a product developed by Clickteam" Does this mean we can use Jamagic too? The previous rule mentions source file but lists cca/gam only.

the real issue here is snow balls.

There´s written "Games must not use a resolution greater than 800x600" in the rules. Can the resolution be SMALLER than 800x600, for example 640x480?
