Xmas Comp Rules Updated
News posted 20th November, 2003 by Pete Nattress
The Christmas 2003 rules have been very slightly updated, due to discrepancies pointed out in the last set. Nothing fundamental has changed; just something has been reworded and allowances made for Jamagic users. If you see anything else that looks a bit dodgy, please point it out to me ;) Thanks. You can view the rules HERE.

I havent seen ANY sports games really... This is a way to expand horizons. Everyone knows you can make christmas platform games, that just isnt the point.

Does the game file have to be under 1.4 megs when zipped or not zipped?

Posted by Decal 21st November, 2003

Why just 1.4 megs?

Posted by SoftWarewolf 21st November, 2003

looks good.. but why is second price better than first price? should be a convention cd for first price too

LOL @ Rule 10. Hey, is it OK if I submit a game that I made from another contest? Even if it won a few contests? Not that I have, but... just asking...

Posted by Pete Nattress 21st November, 2003

the 1.4 meg limit is for the zip file or the CCA/GAM if you just submit it on it's own... e.g. the file we recieve must not exceed 1.4 meg (so i'd zip it if i were you :p ). the limit is there to stop you doing stupid things like adding AVIs or MPGs, and test your cleverness when it comes to minimzing sizes. ;) wolf, i think a copy of MMF 1.5 is slightly better than a CC CD... XD

Posted by SoftWarewolf 21st November, 2003

no it isent :P i allready have mmf ;)

Posted by ShadowCaster 21st November, 2003

Well I suppose if whoever comes second wants to swap with you, then that's ok :)

good idea. is dreidel considered a winter sport?

Posted by Shen 23rd November, 2003

1.4Mb is pitiful

Posted by Weston L 23rd November, 2003

No it isn't. 1.4 is awesome!!!! Otherwise us simple game makers would be competeing with the people who have been woking on some HUGE game. I salute you, 1.4 megabytes...

Posted by Shen 24th November, 2003

My point exactly ;) Um... I've reached that limit already. Problem.
