General Poll #6
News posted 29th June, 2007 by Flava
How many projects do you currently have unfinished?

A total of 127 people voted for this poll.

A simple question really - the aim was to see whether most people have lots of unfinished projects, or whether most people like to do one project at a time. The results were quite spread out, although most of you claimed to have over 10 projects unfinished (41 votes). I'm not going to go through the rest of the results as it would be pointless - you can see them by clicking here though!

.:THIS WEEK'S POLL:.

How long have you been clicking?

Posted by Dr. James MD 29th June, 2007

How long have I been clicking? Too long! It's always been a nice little time saver since I don't play many games myself. Since 96? Or AMOS if you include those wild days.

Been clicking as a hobby sicne I was 13, I'm now 19. So that must be umm... 6 good years now... Woo.

Keep on clickin'!

I got K&P in 96 or 97, can't remember anymore. Shit, that's more than ten years o_o

Posted by Phredreeke 29th June, 2007

Since 1998. Maybe even before that! But one of my earliest games that I still have is called Pong 98.

Before clicking, I even did some very crude QBasic games. They sucked though.

I've been clicking since I was around 14. So, seven years.

Posted by Lukas Hägg 29th June, 2007

No, wait. That was when i got my retail version of TGF. I played around with the demo way before that. I think it's closer to 10-11 years.

Posted by chrilley 29th June, 2007

Since 1997. Feels like yesterday.

Posted by alastair john jack 29th June, 2007

Only going on my 5th year.

2 years this September, I'm so glad I started because it's a lot of fun still.

Posted by MJK 29th June, 2007

Since 1996, 11 years and counting.

Posted by Torava 29th June, 2007

Since 2003, when I was 10 years old. So, I have been clicking 4 years.

Posted by Hernan 29th June, 2007

I've been clicking about 7 years. Though the last 2 years were really slow, due to university and such .

Posted by Silveraura 29th June, 2007

Been kliking since around 2000, didn't join TDC till about 2002 though. So around 7 years now.

Posted by -Liam- 29th June, 2007

My mistake, I was 12. So thats 7 years now... Only found The DC a year ago though!

Posted by Tim 29th June, 2007

SEVEN YEARS?!...
ELEVEN YEARS?!

Daamn, that's a long long time

Posted by Green Gnome 29th June, 2007

I'm not sure. 10 or 11 years. Man, it's been a long time. I haven't finished a single project during it either.

Posted by Neuro 29th June, 2007

I got TGF when I was 8, I think. That makes 11 years. I never made anything worthwhile back then, though Clicking is almost a second language to me, now

Posted by Eternal Man [EE] 29th June, 2007

Hmm, lets see... Found out about Klik n play when I was 13-ish , that makes it like 9-10 years now. Hmm, I have been using MMF 1.2 for 6-7 years now. Maybe I ought to upgrade...

Posted by Peblo 29th June, 2007

Umm, maybe 11-12 years?

Posted by Milo 29th June, 2007

I'm nearly to my sixth year of clicking... with click products

Posted by Eternal Man [EE] 29th June, 2007

What other products would you be clicking?

Posted by blanco 29th June, 2007

Way back in 96 when I was still in diapers, although I was already twelve years old. Please don't judge me.

Posted by Servoskull 30th June, 2007

Since ~1996. Mainly just poking about in Klick & Play... and still after all these years, I have never finished a game!

Posted by Aptennap 30th June, 2007

My cousin gave me a cd with K&P and a TGF demo, because he wanted me to make money with him, that was about 4-5 years ago.

Posted by DeadmanDines 30th June, 2007

Not entirely sure. I'm certain I was using TGF by the end of 1998, beginning of 99. So if we assume I started July 98, that'd be 9 years.

Oh my days, that's scary. And I wonder why I have so little inspiration these days, LOL.

7 years, got KNP Hebrew in 2000.
Then upgrade to MMF1.5 Pro and to MMF2 developer.
Still missing a product from the 2nd generation.

Posted by DeadmanDines 30th June, 2007

Wow, I never even knew there was a KNP in Hebrew. Is MMF in Hebrew too, or was it just because KNP had a big developer (Europress)?

If it's not available in hebrew yet, I believe you can make your own translations using a text document that comes with MMF, and then send it to Clickteam.

Posted by DeadmanDines 30th June, 2007

Oops, no, I think that's only the Installer.

Posted by Hayo 30th June, 2007

Since 1996.

Posted by LIJI 30th June, 2007

Europress and in Israeli publisher published a Hebrew version of KNP. Sadly, it doesn't work on Windows XP (Yet it runs on 2000 I think, XP supports Hebrew in a different way) or a non-Hebrew Windows.

Here's a screenshot of KNP Hebrew running on Windows 98 SE Hebrew Enabled (Virtual Machine):

I must admit, the Hebrew and Arabic scripts have to be the nicest looking written languages on earth. Why can't we write that pretty in England?
