Links to the Past Articles 1

You all seemed to like the other news posts about articles, so why not continue the trend? Today, I'll be linking some older articles that would be helpful for those less experienced klikers out there. So do give them a read!

First, we've got a wonderful article titled Securing your INI files by the master of articles himself, DeadmanDines. Not as code heavy as his later pieces, this is a nice little read that won't cause your head to explode (too much).

Secondly, Rick (AntiMatter Entertainment) wrote a fantastic article on AI a while back, and instead of just focusing on a single gameplay type, he hit upon 3 (Pong, Platform, Top Down). This is an excellent primer for getting into more advanced AI design, and I can't recommend this article enough.

That's it for today, but I'll be searching that article section of the site for more nuggets of goodness.

MacAdaM! AI tutorial!

Hrmm isn't that INI tutorial a bit unneeded now? I mean, the INI++ has encryption & compression built into it, and you can use the binary, blowfish, etc on top of that.

its always good to have prior knowledge about old versions and old methods.

My point wasn't really the INI part of the article (though for a TGF person it sould still be helpful), it was the basic encryption. More of the theories behind it really.

Besides, I am just pointing out potentially useful articles that are well written.
