New Game: Santaman and his iced muffins
News posted 25th April, 2009 by Rikus
Well Hayo's latest game might be a christmas game, here in Canada we are all still in the christmas spirit since it frickin snowed yesterday! In April! Thats just wrong in so many ways! What is not wrong however is this great platformer that everyone should go and check out!

Comments from Hayo:This is my first completed solo effort since 2003 and the first thing I did worth a darn in years. It is based on the graphics and engine of the first Santaman game (very small game from 2006), both retouched. I realised most of my games follow a pretty lame “new enemy every five levels” pattern so my main mission was to make something more enjoyable than that. The game is around four times bigger than its predecessor and actually has the content to carry that load. Still, being the lazy coder I am, there might be some repetition in this game (hey,it’s a gridbased puzzle-platformer, what do you want?).

Believe it or not, Oslo is boiling, depsite being the same latitude as Saint Petersburg, Alberta and Saskatchewan.

I miss the snow, we don't get enough. Anyway, sunny and hot (and muggy ) here in the Ohio Valley. But then, what's new?

Aww, Rikus... that's no fair...

...I wanted cold depressing weather. Or at least cool or chilly- that'd be fine with me.

It's nice and warm here in New Orleans!

If you don't make games longer than 5 levels you prolly won't have that problem.
Posted by Rikus 26th April, 2009

Not feeling very nice today are we pebs?
Posted by AndyUK 26th April, 2009

Or making much sense.
Posted by OMC 26th April, 2009

Yea, I didn't get it either. O_o
Posted by alastair john jack 26th April, 2009

Actually! I'm not sure I get it either

Unless someone deleted their comment before he made one?

Whoa. I'm the most misunderstood person with a 5x combo. I won't post on my phone anymore.

I'm pretty sure he meant to talk about how Hayo says his games all follow a lame "new enemy every five levels" pattern.
Posted by Rikus 26th April, 2009

Ahhh, ok that makes total sense now! Thanks Red!

Yeah so much for the Rocky Mountains... Fricken Canada!
Oh well, BBQ hot dogs instead of Campfire Hot dogs.
It's so lovely outside today too, cloudy and -4C

I'm with ya liquixcat today "Again!" grey, rainy/snow and cold! I'm sick and tired of being forced to stay in during the weekend. The other day the head-phones off my i-pod player froze! I mean how cold does it have to get for your cords to freeze solid, i could not bend them, ARGH! I'm ready for the summer! (me=calms down, hehe)

Ive just been out planting ornamental grasses in the sunshine
Posted by Liquixcat 26th April, 2009

Yeah Summer would be just great. I'm happy for you Adam, but eventually I'll get there and have Canadian Beauty at my disposal.

Oh yeah it is supposed to snow or something today Rikus, I'm pretty sure we live in the same place, lol.

Yea, that part was obvious, but what about: "you prolly won't have that problem." What, it's warm when you make better games?
