The Daily Click Arcade Opening Tomorrow!
News posted 14th March, 2010 by Rikus
Thats right folks! After much coding and testing, the daily click arcade will open its doors.. Tomorrow! Once it opens you will see a new graphic appear on the right top side of the site. And bam, the quest for highscores and credits will begin. We have about a dozen of games to get you started with. If you want to submit a game that would be cool in a highscore setting you will need to either pm myself or clubsoft the source so we can add the highscore coding to it and check for any security issues. In the future there will be a submission form but games will be manually added.

Hope you will all enjoy it and lets give some high-fives to clubsoft for coding this beast! The arcade is coded in php but still interacts with the main site and is super fast! Thanks club for putting so much time in this and thanks to everyone who tested out the arcade this past year, we put tons of value in your comments and it made the arcade only better. And last thanks for the folks who already provided their games to the arcade!

Let the games begin!

Wow, this is pretty close to GB Arcade...

Actually, the DC arcade has been in development for a while, and very much predates the GB arcade

Or perhaps to how extensive each is?

Posted by Clubsoft 14th March, 2010

As mentioned in the forums, user submissions will come shortly down the line

I thought we were doing a good job of accepting downloads quickly.

Must work harder at that then!

"Or perhaps to how extensive each is?"

probably. if i understand correctly, tdc's arcade is a bit more interactive, being able to place bets with other members, and scores being able to be compared with other members's scores.

since ours is open to the public, anyone can play, and anyone can anonymously submit scores (to games that have score boards with GB), so it would be rather improbable to keep track of that stuff.

hopefully they will both create more user content and entertainment for everyone

Wheeeee!! Can't wait to try this out! I'm also curious to know if the game I submitted a few months back is one of the original games on there right now.

Yay, finally! Now I have something to do all day at work..

Posted by Johnny Look 15th March, 2010

wow can't wait till tommorrow
btw, the games will be vitalized, right ?
Could be a good idea to allow flash games too, this could bring in a huge load of new visitors since everyone already has flash installed and now that clickteam released the flash runtime and all

Great stuffs!
I've been looking forward to this for quite some time! (like everyone else, duh )

Posted by Clubsoft 15th March, 2010

There will be a mix of Flash and Vitalize games - Ones that are compatible with flash have already been converted across, others will follow if I can get the authors to modify them
