New Preview Quick Video: S#32
News posted 18th March, 2010 by Rikus
Recently Author SevenT2 released a beta version of his latest game called S#32. The beta was just to show you how the weapons worked and how the enemies interacted with you, but the game shows so much promise already, we had to make a special Quick look preview video for it!

Comments from StevenT2: Basically, the game is based on a generic soldier, namely Soldier #32, in a time when soldiers are not referred to as men, just as numbers... statistics. But there is hope yet, in the hero they have appointed to help your team. He is strong and knows the ways of war… BUT, you are not playing as him. The idea behind the game is that your aren't playing as the lead character. You are just one of the soldiers going on the mission as well.

Hey sevenT2! remember me? Btw, you seem to improve quite a bit. The sprite lacks a jumping and falling animation though making it look kind of odd.

Looks promising. I just didn't fully get why the enemies "spot" the player with fancy but annoying sound effect. It did not look like it was a stealth/hiding game o.0

Actually While playing the cool enemie spotting sound effect and graphic worked kinda smoothly

ah, the Second Reality 2 music.

Is this a stealth or action game? I can't tell.

It's probably just a side effect of how the particle system works, but I like how the exploded body parts stick to the ceiling

Haha, thanks for the kind words guys! I appreciate the enthusiasm so far!

@CYS: Haha, hey mate! Been a while!!! Umm, "Medigo" did most of the character sprites for the game when he was helping me out way back when, i wish he would join me to help out some more! But he is a busy lad these days!

@nim: lmao, actually I was going to code in a system where the giblets would fall to the ground instead, but then i decided it looked to cool to fix

AND YES! I noticed that too after i found the track. Man, i used to pit my computers against each other back in the day with Final Reality(aka Second Reality)! Back when it used to be cutting edge

But thanks again everyone, i'll keep you posted on updates on the project page!

Oh! And i forgot to answer that question!

In regards to the genre of the game, its going to be mostly action, but with a touch of realism, aka, you can't just run through a whole lot of people and mow them down. (at the moment you can because i haven't put in damage)

You will have to take a little bit more tact in taking down your opponents, making for more rewarding gameplay in my personal opinion
