New Downloads: Lil' Pirate 8-bit Demo and Escape Pet
News posted 17th February, 2011 by OMC
If you take a look at the top of the page, you'll notice two slightly dusty buttons that take you to glorious wonderlands of HTML that blab about things called "compos". Well, the retro competition is one of my favorites of these as of late. The console has pretendedly and splendidly released, and here we have the first of the launch lineup.

For your downloading pleasure is Lil' Pirate in 8-bit, a good old platformer entry by AndyUK about a diminutive swashbuccaneerler as told in 8 bits (rumor has it there are a whopping 17 colors!).

Turn your ship to port and dock at this here download page to play the Lil' Pirate 8-bit Demo.

Also for the retro competition, Beeb has submitted a game called Escape Pet. In this game you play a boy who has crash landed on a planet, and must play mini games so you can get to a ship to escape the planet.

If you were making a game for the retro competition, visit the thread and tell us how the project is coming! (Also play Jon Lambert's entry posted there.)

My computer can only handle 16 colours. So I won't be able to run this.
