So lets see how this goes *stares in Muz's direction*
Stuck on boss 5 at the moment. I've got everything sorted. Even finished up writing a new boss track only to have Mr. Pineapple add some drums to it, so (like in boss 4) it jumps between the 2 versions when stuff happens. It's all good in motion. Except the boss itself...
It's a security system type thing that prevents the player from pushing past a certain zone, I've got the boss all animated and tied into the physics engine and the music is brilliant but it's just the boss itself. Normally I go at them the completely other way - get the idea and build the materials around that. Think I've jumped the gun a bit here!
The concept is that it's a security system put in place after the player appears in the game, prior to fighting it you can see parts lying around that look innocent enough until the battle once power is restored to its specific section of the map. Basically it spins around with the motor in the top half of the unit, if the "legs" get stuck then it spins the upper half off exposing the delicate innards. Visually it's based off a radio lying on my desk at the moment, yea.
Boss 5 out of 10-12. Which isn't too bad considering that I've made 3 of them this year and will likely get the 6th one done by Xmas. Release really isn't too far off now.
So yea. Was round my uncles place (who we see like once a year) 2 weeks back just dropping some stuff off, and one of his grandkids asked about my game (it's kinda late but the local paper did an interview and article about me/it/jazz). Said there's nothing to play yet but he wanted to have a go on Sam... Started the download and left.
A week later I spot him again and he's properly addicted to it but stuck on level 6. Bless! There's 120-odd levels! Gonna give him a cameo in Tormi if he at least makes it past the first world as a little reward.
