Just a quick update on what i've been working on over the last few days...
To start with i've now added a title screen and a few options to chose from; the main point of this is for the player to decide whether he/she wants to play the Re-loaded version of Space Commander with updated physics and game model, or the Classic version with the old-style control method, slightly (!) n00bish special effects (complete with library sprites) and exceptionally mean difficulty level. Each version will unlock different endings and exclusive extras.
Secondly, i've added more to the game itself, including some nice Hyper-space jump effects for the enemy ships and some structure to how the enemy appears in the battlefield - more on this in a later Devlog.
Once i have everything in place for the basic game it will be a matter of creating levels, something which shouldn't take too long, though that all depends on how happy i will be with the finished game, of course!
