Hello again! Some questions for you..

Hey everyone! Just wanted to remind you, this project is NOT dead.. just been busy with school and stuff, y'know...

Also, I got a few questions for you to answer in the comments. The first question:

Should I make the game 800x600 or 640x480
Right now it's 640x480, like the other Blobs adventure games. But I think it's too small and could be 800x600?? What do you guys think?

Should I make a metroid-style/IWBTG scrolling? Like rooms.
Right now it just scrolls the camera smoothly where Blob is. I've experienced the scrolling with MMF to be not so good and kinda laggy, just enough to bug the player...
Also, the metroid/IWBTG kind of scrolling can be really nice since the player never knows what's coming. Also, awesome secret rooms can be made with that.

I really want to hear your opinions on this =D.

The resolution should only be changed if you make the graphics bigger and suitably awesome looking and detailed. As for the rooms... it could make for some interesting hazards, but only change it if it doesn't hamper the gameplay. It could be annoying to have to wait for the camera to move to a new room when you've already been through that place a brazilian times and died.

Secret rooms sound good.

Thanks for the feedback, about the resolution; I won't change the size of my graphics.. I just think it would be better since the player have more of a view instead of a little 640x480..

about the camera, it doesnt scroll like metroid. It just goes into the new room instantly like in IWBTG (I wanna be the guy). If you ever played that game

I think everything is fine the way it is also.

640x480 is no problem. I hate screen by screen scrolling. There is no charm in it for me.

640x480 is fine, because 800x600 is my resolution of my crummy laptop .

With the metroid rooms, I think in some places it'll be nice but not all the time.

To be honest, everything seems brilliant just the way it is at the moment. Still has the charm of the first game but with more features and advancements. Which is an awesome thing indeedeth!

640*480 is fine. I think it was the average screen size a while back. I've not had any trouble with lag scrolling actually. And you still can add secret rooms that way. Just give them there own frame entirely or just cover them with an overlay.
