i've made many positive steps in the past few days, about three hours a day. one of the major improvements was the elimination of a serious show-stopper bug, the kind that a developer (who is completely immersed in the project) would easily overlook, but which a tester - further detached from the process - easily uncovers.
after fixing the show-stopper, i made a few coding changes, created the bonus stage, and began adding in the sound effects. i have cut-scenes to build into the game, and proper menu screens...then the main game is done!
should i purchase the flash app plug-in now...? i'm at that point. and i don't think it would be such a worthwhile release without the flash capability, online scoreboards, and so on. it would be fantastic to release this on Facebook, too...
