Howdy there, I'm MongMaster. You might remember me from about six months ago? I was making this game about ships firing Cillit Bang and Laz0rs?
If you were looking forward to this game, don't worry; it's not been cancelled or anything, progress is just slow. University doesn't really give me as much free time as say, a Christmas break does.
Time off the project has shown that I've improved my programming skillz quite a lot on this course, though. When I opened the ULSG project file a few days ago, I almost died after realising how badly coded it is.
But nevertheless, there has been PROGRESS! The final two ships have been finished, and they're ALMOST flyable:
Just need to make it so that you can equip them in the Intergalactic Mall, and that's it.
There's also a new Challenge, called "Chaintacular"! It's simple: get a massive combo before time runs out. If you're in the middle of a combo when time runs out, you can keep going until you break it.
It still needs a few tweaks, but I've got a video of this one for y'all:
Oh yes, this Challenge can last a LONG time if you're good.
Next up will be the Achievements for Chaintacular, but more importantly, the ability to use your equipment in Challenges! Still a ways to go until Beta, but I'll get it done.
On an unrelated note, I've started a new project. It's only in the very early stages, so I'm not gonna make a project page for it just yet, but it does look promising.
