Future plans include:
--Definite barriers, so the player doesn't move off the edge of the map (next on the to-do list, as I've just implemented custom movement)
--Freeform gameplay, that allows the player to summon a total of five or so convoy trucks at will, one at a time (the main objective of each level being the safe delivery of convoy trucks from one side of the map to another)
--Implementation of the construction of automated turrets near each of the bases (by collection of the "G" pickups), allowing for automated defense near each of the bases (the turrets will scan the area, shooting at any insects that are nearby)
--The appearance of different types of enemies, including flying insect creatures and perhaps even a gigantic sand-worm
--Implementation of the insecticide, which repels insects from the convoy
--Different levels with more terrain-related challenges (different paths for the trucks to follow and so on) as well as a variety of enemies and the like
--More of a STORY involved; a narrative that links different levels together and affords some sort of through-line and sense of progression.
This literally started as simply an exercise, and sort of took off from there.
Also, attached is another screen shot. At this point, there's pretty much nothing else to show. I will most likely have more significant developments over the coming weekend.
