Working demo!

Here is a very early demo to show of the gameplay. It has five levels and even a boss! (The boss is after the first level) Please tell me what you think!

You simply need to shoot all zombies before they hit you. You die instantly, Metal Slug style, so be carefull. If you find it to hard, try not picking up coins. You'll get a lower score but at least you'll survive

In boss levels, simply shoot the boss whenever you can, because zombies will keep coming until he is dead.

P.S. There are 3 secret suits/characters to play with (and 4 normal ones). Two of those secret suits are homages to the best indie games of all times. Can you guess which?

Looks nice, reminds me of predator 2 on the GameGear.

@Introversity: What makes it boring and do you have any idea on how to fix it? Tips are always appreciated!

Nice art has potential etc. etc.

Some things:

-I'd like to see a fullscreen option.

-The game is extremely slow paced, I'd suggest speeding the entire game up at least 2 or 3 times!

-Clicking on coins is really frustrating at such a small resolution. Even then, perhaps it would be better if you only had to hover the mouse over (or be close to) the coins in order to pick them up.

-You're a fairly decent pixel artist. I'd just like to see some more detail, more art!, mainly more variation in ground textures as its a fairly bland ground at the moment. The circle of light effect is a little basic too, and doesn't look so good for such a key part of the game.

-I'd like to see some text appear when you hover the mouse over the buttons in the menus.

-The player's death is very abrupt, at the moment as soon as they get close to you - it's straight to game over. I'd suggest you make a player death sequence and then go to the game over screen. And maybe even make it so that the enemies have to be even closer to you before you die, it can seem a little unexpected at times.

Thanks Alastair, now this is some helpfull feedback!

I am planning to make a 2X zoom for the game, but it's kind of problematic as the levels are longer than the frame. It resizes so that the entire level fits in the frame :S

The hovering over the coins is a good idea. It will make it a lot easier to pick them up tho. That causes people to always have maximum score... Will see how that works

I agree on the abrupt death, I will look into that. (making a dying animation is really difficult because of all the suits) Maybe a death screen...
