New bosses aren't just ducky
Posted 20th Jun 11, by Del Duio
A bit more than the bosses in H1, in H2 you are going to run into pretty powerful bosses that you will probably want to come back to later on when you're stronger or when you've found more equipment and power-ups.

This guy, for example, can decimate Rovert pretty fast considering when you can encounter him. All bosses like this have a warning sign in the room before theirs, giving players a heads up before they get squashed.*

*Which is very un Hasslevania-like I know, but I'm shooting for this to be a little bit more user friendly than the last game.

I wonder about the purpose of the ceiling-spikes. Looks really great, though! I'd propose some more shading to the duck sprite, the torso is a bit bland at the moment.

Thanks Hempuli, he was supposed to also have an innertube around his waist (in the conceptual drawing) but it came out like shit every time I tried to make it part of the sprite which is why he is the way he is now. This guy used to float around a bit with the rising and falling of the water which I thought would be cool to incorporate those spikes with his balloon but as of right now he's strictly a land walker.

You can still get hurt if you jump up and hit those spikes, however I don't think too many people will do that.

Enemies now drop food items. The luck stat can be increased. That's all. =V

maybe you could give him some kind of weird armor that makes him float.

it would make the water make more since.

The water really just serves as a pain in the ass because you can't jump while touching it.
