Whip's Power / Usefulness SUCKS?
Posted 25th Jan 12, by Del Duio
AHHHHH!!!!

For some unknown reason, this new code and THIS NEW CODE ONLY is causing memory problems with MMF2.

Much more detail can be found here at our own TDC forum:

http://www.create-games.com/forum_post.asp?id=293091

I really don't want to remove this code and effect, it makes the game a lot better. I'll keep trying, I don't want this to be another H1 magic spells fiasco*

*Where I added a bunch of magic spells over a couple weeks' time and it caused so many problems that just shouldn't be happening that I had to remove them completely.

I really hope that you will be able to solve this code/memory problems.
Good luck man, this game looks awesome!!!

Thanks Vesus! I haven't been able to post about the new enemy I made the other day because I wanted to get this memory issue sorted out first.

GamesterXIII said that it's possible the code might have been corrupted somehow, and that if I enter it all in fresh but exactly the same it may help. It's the only thing I haven't tried yet, so that will be done and I should know by Thursday P.M. if it solves the issue.

I hope that you can fix this too ! ut actually I think that the fact that the whip will kill every undead in one hit should be less strong... Maybe make 50% of killing undead in one hit instead ?

I know that a OHK vs. any undead is pretty powerful (especially against the undead boss who is otherwise rather tough) but I really wanted to stress how strong this weapon is to the "Hasslevania lore" storyline.

Plus, it's not like there are many super strong undead enemies yet. I'd say maybe 20% of the total enemies would fall into the undead class and be weak vs. holy. Incidentally, the Holy Crap projectile weapon still only deals base + 8 bonus damage vs. undead. It's only the whip itself that will kill them in one hit.
