Devlog #9

Lately I've been working mainly on the database of the game that will include national teams, the english, spanish, italian, german, french and portuguese leagues.

The game will also include a full editor to edit teams as well as players, whose hair and skin color can be also changed to fit the looks of their real life counterparts, as you can see from the screenshot:

Another of the new additions include joystick/gamepad support and I'm also working on the 2 players mode, though I'm facing some difficulties because initially I didn't code the game with multiplayer in mind.

There are some other improvements and additions such as new player animations when you score a goal and some rather big improvements on the ball physics, specially when it comes to collisions.

The database is still very much incomplete and it will probably take some time to finish as well as require a lot of investigation work from my part but I think my goal of releasing the game before the end of October is still a realistic one.

On this picture it stands Von Parsie but he`s real name is Robin Van Persie and it isn`t Jarmein Difoe but Jermain Defoe. Image
But else good work!

Marko: Thanks a lot man !

Haakon: Thanks for the heads up mate, the names are misspelled on purpose since I don't have the authorization from FIFA to use real names. Right after the game is released I will however release a unofficial patch with all the real names.

I wondered how you were gonna get around the naming thing because i noticed on an earlier screenie you had the real names (i think??).

Looking good anyway. can't wait to play it. Fave'd

Thanks mate !

btw, yes the game previously used real names but it was only temporarly. All the stats and names were hard coded, there was no real database to speak off.
