Ok, half a year since the last update... not the most active devlog it seems. The project has been a bit delayed due to a busy work/personal life (read: too lazy to do the coding ), but it's nevertheless getting there.
One thing I did lately was a custom leaderboard system for the game. Well, it's still to be finalized but the basic idea is there. Usually I like to use MochiScores for flash games as it's very easy to set up, works great and looks polished, but in the case of Project Hotelier, I was thinking that it's too simplistic. I would like to be able to present more of the players' achievements than just a blunt number of total score or completed missions. There's much more to tell about the players' performance than a couple of figures. So I made a system which has a much more 'personal' approach: it actually shows a miniature hotel view of each players' creations and a series of statistics related to quality, finance, customer satisfaction, etc. Below's a screenshot of a wip version.
It's a bit slow in flash, let's see if I can optimize it further, but otherwise I'm quite satisfied with it. As such it's of course not a really significant part of the game itself, but stats freaks might enjoy it.
