The graphics look quite nice, but it would be better if you added more detail especially in those flat shaded walls.
More of that foliage you've already drawn would make it look more interesting.

I love the graphical style, the tiles look awesome!! I kinda agree with what Captain Andyman said about the flat shaded walls, however it'll be hard not to make them stand out too much, more so than the foliage does, which would then make the screen look too cluttered maybe - I like the simplicity you have!

Maybe look towards what Sonic Team did with the Sonic games for inspiration on how to fill in the flat shaded walls??

~ I'l do just that. I love Sonic, it's genius.. Best platform engine, and some of the best graphics/ideas in any retro 2d game.
I understand what you guys are saying but i don't wana take away too much from the simplistic look... and im worried if i do i will end up makeing it too clutterd a things coz i have no experiance in pixel art atall exept what you see here.

No worries. To be honest i agree with your simplistic approach, your screen-shots look fantastic and i only think they need tweaking, not overhauling or overcluttering! Especially as the main character is fairly small (which i really like) and could easily get lost in the scenery if it was too detailed.

Think watercolour paintings, the best ones aren't detailed over the whole canvas, just the focus of the picture is detailed, everything else is less detailed so the focus stands out. Your screenshots achieve this for the most part, i love them!!

~ Duno what you people think of the lastest screenshots? still no paralax backgrounds (ive got 2 layers for them but never actualy got round to making them, alough the screens are in a cave so its gona be generaly dark BG's anyways)

The resolution is now 320x240 coz there was way to much slowdown in FPS.

It's getting quite fun to play aswell with enemys to level up on. alough when your making the game yourself, testing gets VERY repetative, and my dudes lev 13 at the start of the game... If this was anyone elses game i'd be a geek 5000!

It's completely different!! It looks more 'complete' now, so can't wait to play it. Is it my thinking or are the sprites/character bigger now?

~ Hey Mark! well the resolution had a change, so the char looks alot bigger on the screen, and the sprite has been changed, and its a tad bigger itself. but it works really well (imo)

Still need to spruce it up abit tho.
