I've been playing alot of that FPS title Chivalry and I wanted to do a low-fi version of the combat system in there.
I used to play barbarian on the AtariST,loved that game!
I hope to have a chance and play the demo sometime soon.
From the looks of things, games will go quick and decisively. Lots of possibility for skilled play but a few lucky breaks here and there. Totally seems like a streamlined - and nearly abstracted - combat game.
