Meh, I was whining about Spud as well, so might as well do it here too. I love the look and vibe of the game, the powerup and the weapon system, but I really have to ask again for this game since I think it's such a pity
Why is the main character a generic orange blobby thing
The first man to compare the cheeks of a young woman to a rose was obviously a poet; the first to repeat it was possibly an idiot.
Generic? come on,
he has a bandana! how more ungeneric do you want?
Well i wanted the main character to be small so he can fit into a 16x16 pixel space so it' quite hard to make him look more interesting. If you're suggesting I'm being lazy I can assure you I'm putting a lot of effort into the game.
btw, I have never said at any point that the game is supposed to be anything like kirby. There were games before kirby with small round characters and there will be games after kirby with small round characters. k?
Nooo, I don't think you're lazy at all ofcourse not. I was just wondering about the looks.
Many have traveled into the wretched depths of giving small characters original looks.. it is the reason that Mario has a mustache, a hat and that suit of his

I think Mario was designed before the sprite was drawn.
but yeah, I'm aware people seem to have a problem with ball shaped characters. But in all honesty i didn't set out to design an interesting character. I just drew him once and thought he looked pretty good.
I saw a speed run of a game for the Nes called Gimmick! (which incidently was released BEFORE Kirby's dreamland on the Gameboy) and was going to make a similar game, one where the game play is difficult but short. It started out as a Nes lookalike but i got bored with the idea when i bought MMF2 i added colours.
