As noted on the front page of the project, you can download the most recent version here:

Now the 360-degree engine is implemented, and I really feel the game is at its strongest yet! Should you have any thoughts on how to make this game even better, please tell me what you think! Feel free to post your suggestions here.

Thanks!

I see the 360 degree shooting is now up and running. I may be a bit biased, but I think it's a definite improvement. Bullets could maybe travel a little faster, but it's not important.

The hovertank and bugs now collide with the convoy, which again, looks much better. Does it use fine detection? For some reason the tank sometimes appears to bounce a few pixels before actually hitting the convoy. It's a pretty minor thing, and not worth worrying about unless there's a very simple fix for it.

It looks like you might have changed the dust trail behind the convoy, but it's still not quite right. Unless the convoy is travelling directly east, the trail is in the wrong place. You need to set the convoy's action point to the back of the convoy (ie. mid way along the rear axle), and then create the dust relative to that instead of the hotspot.

Didn't notice anything else different to be honest, but you've been concentrating on the shooting part so that's not surprising.

The game does still run slowly on my pc, and I think it would be worth at least trying with lower resolution and fullscreen rather than windowed. That's my biggest gripe right now.

Anyway, I'll look forward to the next update.

Yeah there's little different from versions 3 and 4 apart from the shooting engine.

The dust billows from behind the truck I'm still not happy with either. They definitely need to be altered. I was more concerned with the current iteration working in terms of semi-transparency. I'll adjust action points and so on for the next build.

As for performance speed, try pressing ALT + ENTER to see what that does for you. I did it once, and performance speeds way up. I did it again, and the game plays windowed with performance still very high. Again, I'll have to optimize the display in a later build.

EDIT: the HUD issue is solved (untick "Display As Background"). Now focusing on altering the resolution without having strange graphical "dithering" or artifacts on screen. Starting a forum post about it, with the hopes more people will read that and offer some suggestions.
