Sounds like a Great Idea for a remake, I Remember playing Simons Quest for hours, and spending hours on the Nintendo hotline finding out those stupid things that no gamer would try to get further in the game,

Hope you get some kool stuff uploaded soon..

Thanks kai, I'll do what I can and upload...something...when it's available. Music is "WIP" meaning anything you hear in any (demo) releases may not be what it will be in the final and some may.

alastair, I saw that vid LONG ago and trust me, I kinda got the inspiration for this from AVGN, which I follow his vids religiously. lol

Smooth transition from day to night, as mentioned, will fix the "What a horrible night to have a curse", but I still want to fit that line in my game somewhere for the nostalgic value of it. There will be plenty of face-lifting from the original with a couple revamped things here and there to make gameplay MUCH better and progression MUCH easier as it was so hard to figure out where you had to go and what you had to do. This will be taken care of in this remake.

There will be false floor tiles just like the original, but at least in this remake, with decent eyesight, you will be able to tell where they are. I'm not looking to make a SOTN/-insert graphics pleasing Castlevania game here- remake, just something that can be played by the fans of the game and bring more people to this game than Nintendo and Konami did. Konami made quite a few mistakes with this one, but I aim to hopefully fix what they did wrong and present it in 16/32-bit glory for the fans.

Later I'll post the positions I will have open for people that want to help. Keep an eye out guys!

AHHHH!! No, don't fix what doesn't need fixin'!

Just have it say that line once for the first time it turns to night. Same thing with the other one for the daytime (morning sun come to whatever it was). That was the problem with the original, it just said those things EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Once would be perfect IMO.
