Use the same voiceover style you guys used in Hasslevania 1, if you aren't already!
That was easily the best touch of the game, I'm serious
Gridquest V2.00 is out!!

Yes that is the plan. There's already way more text than there was in the whole other game. If the MB-age ends up being in the hundreds it might have to ship on CD or something lol.

Only for the sfx. The music's been converted over to ogg files but they came out the same size as the original mp3s.
For the voices, who knows? That's still a long ways off. We did the voiceovers kind of last before and that seemed to work best.

Why not use Ogg for the effects as well? Sound is sound, whether it's music or not so it'll take up less space?

The weird thing is that the .oggs are no smaller than the .wavs. Maybe I'm just converting them wrong but so far that's been the case. The main thing is that I wanted them to be self-contained within the .exe.
P.S: Your avatar is awesome and looks almost exactly like one of my cats.

I know this is a REAAALLLY old conversation, but when you're saving your ogg file, check the bitrate you're saving it as. Lower bitrate is a smaller file, but you don't want to downgrade it too much or the sound quality will suffer. You'll need to play around to find a happy medium.
