CHRIS: Beautiful. This game is something special in my opinion. It almost plays like a platform RPG, where you collect powers to progress. The game looks amazing, I can't fault it graphically except where it fades in twice when a new area is introduced. The engine is very nice. Perhaps a little slow though, and jumping from edges is fairly difficult. The animation of the main character is superb. The game is relatively small in size, but big in ambition. It does have a tendancy to get fairly difficult in places too - maybe unfairly so, but these are my only critisisms. The Christmassy theme perhaps might be a little lacking, but there are definate references, and the winter theme is nicely done.

DAVID NEWTON: What's most immediately impressive about this entry are the graphics and style - the early SNES game style is very apparent in the level environments and the rather charming sprites. They're what used to be referred to as "cutesy". I was a bit less taken with the level design at the beginning of the game, which involved simply running right and jumping on blue huskies and snowball-throwing goblins, but it picks up a bit later on with the introduction of items that you have to "fuel" by collecting tokens from the enemies. There isn't really a plot to speak of in the game, but it is rather good fun, even if the difficulty level has been slightly misjudged on that cave section if you ask me. I think it deserves to be continued!

SHAB: A pretty good attempt, though it's a bit too hard at first, and some of the enemy placement is extremely cheap.

ANDI SMITH: Impressive presentation and graphics get this platformer off to a good start. It's a tough game, which reminded me a lot of the ice sections in Eternal Daughter in places. Christmas wise, the music sounds wintery, the characters wear Christmas hats and you have to save Santa.. but there's not a lot else that's Christmas in here. If the competition was based on just graphics and gameplay, this would be leading the way.

ASSAULT ANDY: Great solid engine, with simply beautiful graphics. The spirtes were really professionally done. The gameplay was simple and fun aswell, and it sort of felt like a metroid style explore game which was interesting. I liked the way there didn't seem to be levels either, it sort of streamed from one to the next. The only thing I found annoying was when there was a really tiny platform, and there was also a purple guy on it. You were forced to precision jump right next to him, and if you missed you would fall in the spike pit! It took me a while to work out how to get past him, but after that little problem the game was really fun.
