CHRIS: An excellent entrant of a very high quality indeed, the only serious issue is that Barfer Sickmess can be very hard. So, what you have here is a shoot-em-up, with normal everyday Christmas items as enemies. Christmas trees that try to kill you, crackers that shoot out loads of bullets, you'll be rather into this, I would think, if you hate Christmas. The graphics are pretty good. They're not amazing and could definately do with some improvement, but they're basic, and the whole game feels simplistic, yet almost chunky with its art style. Obviously, being a shoot-em-up, there are loads of power-ups to collect which improve your range of weapons, and you'll need them when you come to fight the bosses. For instance, a giant bauble and a not entirely small snowflake are amongst the first, and they're pretty hard - again, this really represents the game as a whole. There's also a two player co-op mode, where you can kill together - a great touch. Astoundingly, there's also a very lengthy auto-demo if you don't press anything on the title page. Wicked. I like this game a lot, the effort has clearly gone in and in my eyes is a very worthy candidate to win.

DAVID NEWTON: I'm impressed with how much is in this game - it could have been a much simpler classic style shooter, but features such as the CHRISTMAS bonus letters and the gift boxes keep things interesting. Not to mention the beers and the special attack. There are a large number of different types of enemies thrown at you, and sometimes the screen is absolutely filled with their projectiles - this is where the special attack comes in. It's pretty unique, and involves projectile vomiting beige circles over everything in sight. This game used the theme in an original way, and though the opposition can be overwhelming at times (particularly the first couple of bosses), it's a solid effort.

SHAB: A very basic side scrolling space shooter. While not particularly impressive, it is well made, and includes some boss battles. Aside from some marginally funny sounds, it's pretty vanilla.

ANDI SMITH: Fantastic, so many Christmas ideas in this... and it's not a platformer! I really, really enjoyed this game, however the bosses took far too long to kill and were a little random in their attacks (the Christmas lights were the best boss due to telling you when and where they were going to attack), and level 5 seemed impossible - but I did finally beat it. good effort. The coding was one big sickmess though!

ASSAULT ANDY: Really quite a fun game, I tried it with a friend of mine and two player was fun aswell. I managed to get through the entire game. The graphics needed work however. Library explosions and an unanimated main character were the obvious ones. The coding was also an absolute mess. It was probably the worst organized code I've ever seen. However containing all the levels in one frame was a good way to reduce filesize, and there were no glitches that I had found.
