Here is a car movement engine I've made, which features:
- Full 360 degree movement with decimal accuracy
- Skidding round corners (and handbrake turns)
- Tyre marks
- Reversing
- Lap timer, which also shows your best time
- No extensions required
- Fully commented events
In the UK we spell it tyre, presumably to make it different to the verb, "to tire", as in to become tired. For some reason you crazy americans decided to change it.
I really like this engine for manuvering. The skids make it a real challenge and it's just plain fun to peel out.
My only problem is that there's nothing in here about handling collisions. Without that, it's rather hard to make a car game I'm afraid.
Any tips on collisions with this engine?
