Although, I carry a long winded opinion on the matter, I'll try to keep this short and to the point. DC articles have become un-interesting, un-educational wastes of reading time.
For the few people that post tutorial articles, authours that bring the community news or a juicy tid-bit, or the few authors that attempt to teach people something, I condone all of your actions. It's those of you that ramble on about how newbies continually get picked on, how the community is going to crap or people who generally go over the same thing over and over that I don't appreciate seeing articles from. These days both the article section and most of the forums are filled with this mindless crap.
For those of you just beginning to write new articles on DC, take a step back and READ THROUGH some of them before hand. Take account of article complaints posted by DC members and try not to do what ticks the rest of us off. For those of us that believe that posting 5 articles on the irrational treatment of newbies in the community is somehow justified... guess what. It isn't.
"Where's the free speech in that?" You may ask. It's not as if I have power to delete articles around here, so it's obvious I can't do much about any of this. I just see a problem, so I'm pointing it out like any slightly-annoyed, over-opinionated and over-assertive person would do.
You may not much agree with my past endevors or like me much, but I'm honestly not asking all this for me. This is all for the good of DC. Unless futher supported, DC will soon become non-existant. Wether you like Rikus or not, you must agree he out a lot of time into this site for all of us. Let's make the last few months some of the best DC has seen.
