Stop! 2

An incredibly addictive Arcade stylie game. You play a small orange ball who travels at high speeds and cannot stop, and, in the classic mode, you must avoide the evil *stolen from pac-man* ghosts. Every second, you gain a life, but a new ghost also appears. You hit a ghost, it dissapears and you lose a life. After a minute or so of playing the screen becomes full of the purple devils.

This is the follow up to my first ever game, Stop! created with Click and Play. The differnces in this sequel are the inclusion of a scrolling play area and a whole plethora of new modes, including good ghosts, bouncy ghosts, ball collection, search and destroy and more. This is good, addictive arcade fun with a small file size to boot.

I updated it so the screenies would work, but I'm not sure if it actually did (blocking software), so if there are any problems let me know, also need to right click and save as to download this file.

hmm, i only tried classic mode, and in fact i am playing while i type ;) There is only a maximum of 15 lives, and currently believe it or not my score is on 200 and rising.

one bug that i di find in classic mode is that i could end up getting 1000's and 1000's of points if i wanted to. The bug in your game is that if you don't move at all you won't die at all. You may lose a life here and there but you will never die.

I made about 537 at classic

Yeah, you can just stay still, but whats the point? It doesn't record your score anywhere, so it just takes the fun out of playing it. And btw, I know the 4 corners mode is rubbish, and you can stop a lot and go through the walls defeating the point of it, but I needed something to fill that corner of the menu, so... meh.

Ghandi is right. Just keep going up and down really fast or left and right and you'll never move. Its just a flaw in the gameplay. It could be fixed with something like homing ghosts or something, but i would simply go for another style of gameplay. Its good for one of your first games, though. Keep coming up with new ideas and you'll eventually get something original yet fun.

Good start :)

Perhaps a way to address this issue is to have a 'health' bar that gradually decreases, and you can only top it off by risking a run towards a health powerup. That way, you could make it so that standing still just leads to death. It might help keep the action "on-the-toes" so to speak. Perhaps you could keep it in mind for a sequel.
