ROAMER is a slowish moving stealth robot with the following armoury (so far):

time bombs - 3 second delay (get clear)
laser pulse - aiming target
nuke blast - limited (not in this demo)

And the following modes:

jet pack - timed
down mode - useful for those small places
shield - timed again (not in this demo)

The beginning shows a rollover - the robots at moonbase alpha have turned nasty due to a viral infection - call in ROAMER.

Various keys have to be found from different corners of the planet. You start with the red key hidden in the deepest jungle - have fun (maybe a little bit)

Ok, it hasn't got the best coding, and graphics arn't amazing. But it's so original and actually fun to play.

Seems like a great concept so far. It reminds me of the Oddworld games, where you have to solve puzzles instead of simply blast through everything. I have a couple questions about the game engine, however: --Could you set a separate key for each of the actions? This can help the player not become so confused by having to press directions and other buttons simultaneously. --The foliage in the foreground, concealing the Roamer, is a GREAT touch! It did seem, though, that there were large ferns or other plants that completely obscured the player character. Any thoughts on slimming them down, or using blades of grass instead? In any case, keep up the great work! I'm looking forward to seeing the full version.

i dont want to get itno a big botanical debate about plants - although i take your point - accepted - was meant to improve 3d effect etc... PS: why is nobody voting for this game? they are voting for engines but not for games - um????

it takes a few votes before they show.

Game is good, but it is not nice that you have to restart the whole mission once you die. Make the checkpoints.

each mission has 4 levels only - thats the game rule - but if you think that's too many ... mmm ... maybe??? I've done 5 missions so far - thx vote

A little too slow for my taste but very interesting.
