Very funny program. Image I made a face by holding space and then released it. The result was very nice. I noticed some bugs, like I can't draw dots and if I draw lines, they doesn't always appear at all. It would be nice, if the markers changed by some key, because my mouse wheel doesn't work correctly in the application. I don't like the sounds. Try sfxr to make better sounds.

Thanks for the comment. I plan to redone the sounds because the sounds engine of MMF2 is buggy and I don't like them too. ^^

Yeah make sure to activate multi-samples, or .wav files won't play on top of each other. Besides that, the DMC object (available at clickteam extension archive) handles alot of WAV and MP3 playback, albiet far more complicated then the built-in player.

As far as the physics object; thats quite neat and impressive. I the freerange draw effects

I use the multisamples but I manage to use on my own the different channels (to change the frequency and volume of the sounds in function of the force and to not repeat the same sounds every time).

I use MMF2, DMC is not converted for it.

I'll probably redo the sounds engine with ONU.

I've updated the game. The physics is more realistic, the sounds have less bugs, you can scroll on the playfield and see it on a minimap.

Pretty awesome if I do say so myself. It's not often we get projects that show this much effort put into them. Great job!

I'll give a 4 out of 5, because sound is still glitchy, but physics are always fun to play around with.

Wow that's awesome! It reminds me heaps of Crayon Physics. It's a really good engine, nice work.

Whats the small pen for? doesnt do anything :S if it does, please mail me on this site great game by the way

This is a beta currently. I'm still developping it. You can follow the project on this page: http://www.create-games.com/project.asp?view=main&id=1056

The small pen don't do anything currently but it will allow you to draw links.

That's actually really cool... good work man! Although I'd quite like a yellow pen too.. please?

Posted by Sphax 23rd January, 2008

And what do you want it to do? ^^^
All the colors have a different behavior.

The small pen with "gold" color will be able to draw links with a pivot between shapes.

New version available:
What's new:
- You could not anymore change the marker/pen style when you use it
- The collisions detection between shapes is a lot more precise/right
- The shapes should behave more naturally
- The game/program has been optimized (it should run a bit faster)
- The sounds have been temporarily disabled
- The playfield is now 3200x2400
- The second pen can be took (right click) and used to draw links (the link drawn has a pivot at start) between shapes!

Thanks to the link pen, you can draw some very cool and funny stuffs.

It's very nice. I had to try it on my roommate's computer though because I don't have a mouse wheel.

Posted by Sphax 28th January, 2008

It has been updated to add ropes and keyboard shortcuts to allow you change the marker and the color.

Well, this is not perfect. When I draw lots of lines (like in the picture), the program become much slower and lines goes wrong. What about HWA?

How can I scroll?

Torava:
Read the description
It says:
- right click: drag&drop playfield / take a marker (on the left)

About your picture, you've drawn anything, no matter how... That's quite normal that some shapes behave strangely since they are in a state physically impossible...

About the speed, my vectorial extension is not HWA compatible currently.

You can open .RAR files (it's like a .ZIP) with 7zip or WinRAR.

Posted by Fish20 17th February, 2008
