Pretty DERN good. And that fact you have a watermelon all set up there = instant win. I really liked this, but once again, installers are a big no-no here. Overall nice game, looks good and has nice fast page game play. Keep it up! Anyway good game, hope to see more from you soon.

I really want to try this out but if you can try to lower down the size of the game to below 10mb (changing audio quality and reducing colors perhaps) and with no installers, I can try it

Most oher TDC'ers will probably agree with me

What's wrong with a 15 meg file? Granted, it seems a little excessive for a Breakout-type game (then again, I've not played it yet [downloading now], so I don't know what all's going on inside), but still, 15 meg should be nothing.

Unless you're on dial-up, in which case, sure.

On the stage select list, if I click on the white space it goes to the game, and constantly shows a bouncing "level up!" graphic.

I liked this game for the most part, although I don't think it's nearly as good as DX Ball (which you compared it to). Here's my comments, in list form:

Positive:

- Nice graphics, pleasant to look at

- Good sound effects, I liked the glass breaking and the soft sound that that ball made when it hit a wall

- It's overall look is very professional-looking

- I LOVED how you could aim and shoot out the blocks if there were 10 or less left on the screen.

Negative:

- The ball seems to bounce at random angles when it hits things. It's very irritating when the ball hits a wall and bounces straight back from where it hit.

- The game is a little too easy... I kept getting "fast" capsules on purpose to give myself a challenge. Maybe add an evil capsule that kills you when you catch it? (Ever played WinBrickout?)

- The score submission at the end... hitting enter doesn't seem to do anything. I don't think my score got submitted. I beat the game and got 81,350 points.

- Speaking of beating the game, "Game solved" just doesn't sound right. It should just say something like "Congratulations , you won," or "You won the game."

- On a few of the levels NONE of the bricks dropped any capsules, which made me want to take my own life.

- For most of the levels there's not much variation in gameplay. Relating back to my last comment, I think you should make capsules appear a little more often.

The game is not bad, but could be improved in many ways. I managed to beat all the levels, but often I was saying "how many levels ARE there??" because frankly, I got bored by about the 7th level (and I think there were like 20 total or something). Also, that watermelon level didn't appear in the game... whatever. Anyway, I'm rating it three stars. It's not bad for your first submission.

TheoX- I appreciate the detail of your review! I agree with you on all of these points. I too especially can't stand the strange bounce that happens when the ball hits in a "cornered" area such as a brick near a wall. I'm working to correct that, and increase the challenge as you progress through the game. There are 26 base levels. Additional level packs have 35 to 50 extra levels each. You can grab two new packs at http://motleypixel.com/games.

And you're right, the watermellon is actually in level pack 2. My bad!

Adam - I'm going to fix that error too... the list gets clicked, if it's a blank line, it tries to play. thanks for pointing it out.

All - I'm new here and I don't quite get why an installer is a no no. Is there a reason? Thanks again all!

the angle of the bounce didnt seem correct at times -I would hit the ball with edge of the bat and it would shoot upwards occasionally etc.

The game malfunctioned a few times (nonstop "levelup" and there was one instance of the next level never coming - just blank space until I wasted all lives)
