I have it on my comp just for nostalgia, and I say to myself that I someday have to make one little game just for fun, but to be serious, I never want to use KNP for real again. Even when KNP was new, I missed a lot of good stuff in it. It was TGF that was the first complete product for me. I know MMF is a lot better, but TGF will always be remembered as a great product in my mind.

The jump from k&p to tgf was bigger than tgf to mmf.
still even today k&p can make a good game if you make the right game.

You can do a sorta scrolling in knp, but it involves making all objects actives and moving them across the screen

i saw a tank game do that once. pressing the direction keys moved objects/level, quite smart really

The Elk was made in KnP and even had psuedo-parallax and scrolling! You're very limited with it, though.
