I remember hearing there was suppost to be a new 3D object comming out for MMF 2.0, but I was wondering if anyone was making an object like it, for MMF 1.5?
For Multimedia Fusion 1.5, or 2.0? I already know a really, really nice 3D extention is being made for MMF 2.0, & if its for MMF 1.5, how easy will it be?
no. That image is taken directly from my RPG game I'm making with that extension. It uses directX 9 and runs 100k polygon levels at 50 fps. Impressive huh?
Mitch M, your kidding right? I don't believe that someone who I haven't seen make any extensions before is creating a 3d extension their first go (Actually come to think of it, from a realistic stand point , I don't even believe that you made thoose graphics)
If it is a joke, consider me not fooled by it, and if it isn't a joke prove it .
Of course it's a bloody joke. For one, nobody could just cook up a 3D engine that looks as good as most new 3D engines for a £80 2D multimedia program, and two, that's a picture off this site: http://www.teamxbox.com/ look at the watermarked logo in the bottom right, and three, are you all bloody mad? (except Vortex and Circy and Chris, well pretty much only Brandon and Amnesiasoft)
I knew that screenshot wasnt his, Its ovious, but I figured the rest was true, I knew the screenshot was a joke. Like Trevor, the water mark is right there in the blue.
Yeah, thats exactly what I was about to say, the example of the 3D object looks like it was designed in MMF 1.5, not MMF 2.0, so if it was designed in MMF 1.5, why isnt it possable to be released for MMF 1.5?
There's a lot of stuff missing from the object that wouldn't work well with MMF 1.5 - and by the time it's finished, it's likely to use a lot of MMF2's features, and the extra time spent wouldn't be worth it.

Why doesn't he just create 2 versions : one for MMF 1.5 that is less extended...
I never saw any sales. I bought my MMF 1.2 for about 80 quid, then a few months later they sent me the 1.5 upgrade for free in a nice plastic jewell case rather than them crappy cardboard sleaves 1.2 came in.
It was a sell at Clickteam.com, they were giving things away for like 75%, then I use my TGF Pro. discount & got MMF 1.5 for only $50, but unless thats the case here, I can see me being one of the few MMF 2 owners. :-\ Seeing as in, I am one of the few people who got MMF 1.5 at such a low price & that was the only way I could get my perents to get it for me.
I'm gonna get MMF2 definately. If it's not rediculously expensive that is. I think Clickteam will offer an upgrade price anyway, Clickteam are kind like that, but a lot of companies offer upgrade discounts anyway.
MMF 2 will come in 3 version, a stupid "home" version that will cost nearly the same price as TGF, removing you some fonctionnalities, a Standart version which will cost nearly the same price as MMF 1.5 Standart, and a Pro version which will cost nearly the same price as 1.5 pro
it's fine if English isn't their first language, I don't know if it is Bathman's or not (sorry if it isn't) but some people do speak English for a first language and we get posts like "cheak owt me nuu gam itis teh owsemest!!!!!!!" which is unacceptable.
As a boy, I wanted to be a train. I didn’t realize this was unusual—that other kids played with trains, not as them.
I agree there, X_Sheeps first languge isnt English & he speaks english if not 100% perfectly. I know that because 1 person can, everyone can, but still. Please no comments on my english tho, I'm still in LS for it, d@mn "hooked on phonics". -.-
"I don't know if it is Bathman's or not (sorry if it isn't)"
yes it isn't

Well, I ain't English either (altough the name does make you think I am), I'm just very good in speaking it. So they say.
En als je dit kunt lezen weet je waar ik vandaan kom.
But let's stay to the topic, it was about the 3D object for MMF, wasn't it?
I pesonally think we really need a 3D extension, since the OpenGL object doesn't work on my computer and the Mode7 object is very limited.
Well we also have to think about the fact that just because we get an object that is able to do 3D, it might not be easy, you cant just go & say we need a 3D object for MMF, you have to add in the fact that it should be rather easy.
Though I do think that when most people hear "new 3d object in mmf" what instently jumps into there mind is an object that will do all the durty work in making a fps for you. When alot of people will agree with me when I say, a fps isnt the only style of 3D game, I mean my first 3D game isnt a fps, its a 3d version of Diamond: Warped Dimensions.

But anyways, yeah, before I posted on this thread it wasn't in the "non-klik coding help" section, but now it is. Odd.
It's funny reading the posts about MMF2 and what people thought about it 'n all.
The "non-klik coding help" was renamed some time back because people got confused. I think it was called the "programmer's guild" or something back then
