Purpose
-------

I am writing this because I am looking for a talented Spriter who is willing and able to make sprite for my up coming game- Prism Tales

Description
-----------
After 4 monthes of programming. Prism Tales's engine is in a beta stage of compeletion. It is an isometric Ragnarok Styled RPG with a large variety of weapons/items and an unique rune system. I need spriters that can draw good isometric characters (max dimension 10 X 80) and backdrops.

Game Introduction
-----------------

(Note: Many of the names used here are merely placeholders. They will be changed in the final completion of the game.)

Somewhere in a parallel reality there is a planet similar to our own. It is a huge blue and white sphere orbiting a star, Sirius. The people of this planet call it Andromeda. They are like humans except for 1 difference. They have some powers of nature. On Andromeda live the 2 villages this story tells about, the village of Fire and the village of Ice. Each village has its own power. The people of Fire have power over fire and smoke and the people of Ice, over ice and water. There is a constant battle going on between them, the origins of which are lost in time.
But one day a prophet came to these bickering villages. He was a tall thin man wearing a greyish blue cloak. He leaned heavily on a wooden staff with a dragon headpiece as he went. Upon hearing of his arrival the village elders declared a ceasefire for a day to hear him out.
In the evening the elders assembled, the youngest, who looked about 40 sat at the front. Even in such a meeting the elders of each city sat on different sides. They were however all dressed in long black robes.
“I have come to see this feud that I have been told of,” The prophet said in a loud voice.
“I have come a long way to see what is going on here. I see blood, death, but I do not see…”
The prophet’s voice faded and a ghostly spectral voice took its place.
“Time will pass and in the century of the weakening of worlds a child will come forth, with power of fire and ice. By his hand victory shall be decided. He shall lead the willing, and a new order shall arise. A new power from the remains of…”
A look of immense pain crossed the prophet’s face as he collapsed forward. There sitting on his back, was a giant spider with a yellow stripe down the middle. It was one of the most venomous spiders on the face of Andromeda. It was a lifesucker spider.
The elder were shocked. They sat down and discussed what to do for hours. A young elder said “maybe the prophecy meant that both villages would survive”
His idea was dismissed as “stupid” and “impossible”. Finally it was decided that if in either village such a child or person was ever (they didn’t know when the century of the weakening worlds is) found he would be thrown into the pit of the gods. In this pit it was said the gods themselves would pass judgement over whoever was in it. However in the present day I was just seen as a good place to throw people if you wanted to leave them to die.
Happy in knowing that they and their villages were safe, well at least from that threat, they went home to carry on plotting how to kill each other off.

Many years have passed since the prophet died and in the village of Ice a young girl awoke. The girls name was Alex and today was her 19th birthday. She was quite tall, had long straight brown hair and green eyes. She looked over her dark room, took in the green blue walls and mahogany wardrobe. Then her eyes fell on a small pile of wrapped up boxes lying on the floor camouflaged by the shadows cast by the rising sun through her red curtains. She jumped out of bed and quickly got dressed. Wearing a pink jersey and some long peach pants she separated the pile into 3 boxes. The first was a small square. Carefully she removed the wrapping and discovered a small packet. Inside the packet was a necklace. It was in the shape of a drop of water and glowed with a weak blue light. Delighted by its beauty Alex put it on.
The second box contained a pair of sunglasses, the newest fashion. They were black with no visible lens. This was actually an illusion; the lenses would take the colour of her surroundings and act like a perfect mirror, but still be see-through on the other side. At the moment they were mirroring her carpet making the lens invisible.
Next she slowly picked up the last box. It was long, thin and very light. Shaking with suppressed excitement she removed the wrapping and was faced with a solid cardboard box. She looked it over from all directions and couldn’t find anyway to open it.
Alex frowned. They wouldn’t give me a present I couldn’t open would they? Alex though.
Sighing she focused her attention on her. A small globe of ice appeared floating just under her palm. She imagined a point onto it and just managed to cut a small slit through the cardboard before her focus died and the globe vanished.
Oh well, this should be enough, She thought.
Slipping her hand into the slit she ripped the front of the card board and gasped.
There in front of her, was a rune blade. It is a sword that can be enhanced by the bearer adding special rune stones onto it. At the moment it was just a normal sword but with the right runes it would be very powerful. This particular sword had no runes but had an emerald set into the pommel.
It was a sad part of village life that everybody had to be armed because you never knew when a raiding party from the other village may come along. Actually this happened quite often, it just wasn’t very often that they managed to get through the gate.
A soft ringing noise signalled that her mother was serving breakfast. Alex’s mum was a tall, black haired woman with an air of vitality. Alex carefully put the sword in the enclosed unmarked grey hilt and set it on her table. She went downstairs into the dining room. A fairly large room with white walls and a table set for 2 but made to hold about 14.
Alex’s dad was visiting a craftsman in the distant village of lightning. He was over there because in this village Andromeda’s leading scientists lived. With their ability to create a lot of electrical energy by themselves they were the leading force behind the planets technology. Her dad was there about their new invention, the electric axe. Alex had no idea what this was and didn’t care much either.
After a hurried breakfast she ran out to go meet a good friend of hers, Lauren. Lauren was a shortish 18 year old with long hair drawn back in a pony tail. She was dressed in a knee length white skirt and a red t-shirt sporting the name of some far away movie theatre. The sun was out and there were only a few clouds in the sky. They were sitting by a lake on the outskirts of the village. It had to be like this because it wasn’t safe to go outside, so the village boundaries had to include everywhere people could want to go, lakes, fields and a small forest. The village was fenced off with large wall enchanted to freeze anyone who touched it (it was also electric to discourage children from throwing water on it to watch it freeze).
A few birds sung in the trees and a dove landed near Alex.
“How cute,” she exclaimed.
The dove turned and looked at her. Then with a flutter of its wings it was gone.
“Wow, it sure moves fast for something so small,” said Lauren.
“I don’t know. They say fish can move faster than horses for very short distances.”
A stick snapped somewhere nearby and both girls turned round to look. A young boy about 15 had fallen out a nearby tree. He was a bit shorter than Alex and short brown hair. His name was Jack. He was quite good friends with both of them and was only fractionally disturbing. Looking at them with an air of success Jack said “Happy birthday Alex. I wish you a happy year and the best of luck. Hello Lauren, how are you today? I have succeeded in using my powers to climb a tree. I told you it would work!”
“We didn’t doubt you,” the girls replied smiling.
“Yeah, that’s what you say now but I remember something about pigs flying”
Alex and Lauren burst out laughing and Jack smiled.
Jack moved here when he was little from the city of lightning and as such had no way of making little ice hooks or anything like Lauren or Alex, so he had to think of other ways to do things. He was constantly experimenting.
A short while late, when Lauren decided it was time for lunch they went over to Alex’s house for a birthday lunch, which for Alex was pretty much her party. She didn’t have many friends apart from Lauren and Jack and so didn’t bother with a party as she could just invite them over for lunch. To her surprise it turned out both Lauren and Jack had predicted this and had gotten her a present.
“You shouldn’t have,”
“We did”
It was a shiny yellow rock. Alex looked at it a bit closer and saw that there was a symbol engraved in the top.
“This is a…” Alex started to say.
“Finding rune. It means that if you lose it you can call it to you. It also has some other theoretical uses,” Jack explained.
A little voice in Alex’s head, a glimmer of memory said Death.
“I hope you like it,” Lauren said.
“I love it. I got a rune blade from my parent. But I don’t know how to put runes in.”
“Don’t worry. I know how to do that. I’ll teach you,” replied Jack.
Alex smiled. She gestured for Jack and Lauren to follow and led them up to her room. Jack’s jaw dropped slightly as he saw the blade.
Because he came from the village of lightning (were the stories about the war are exaggerated) he got a rune blade when he was 13. Lauren inherited her fathers when he died last year.
“That’s amazing. It was made by the people who live in the city of darkness. This sword should serve you well,” exclaimed Jack, “Look there’s a note attached to it.”
I didn’t see that this morning thought Alex.
She tore the note of and opened it. There was a picture that resembled a dragon.

Hello Alex.
This is a present for you in a very special time of your life. The time draws neigh for you to need and wield a blade. We wish all the best for all that hangs in the balance.

Alex passed the note round and waited for her friends to read it. Jack sat down on the floor after he finished reading and frowned. Lauren laughed and said “Probably a joke from your parents. We all know about the likelihood of an attack. We haven’t had one for a while. They are probably planning one as we speak.”’
“Probably. Well Jack. Show me how to use the rune.”
Jack opened his hand and a ball of lightning appeared. He gestured for Alex to do the same. Alex’s hand tinged red for a second and a ball of ice was floating above her palm. He motioned for her to pick up the rune (it took a lot of concentration to maintain a non solid elemental ball) and put it into the ball. To her surprise the rune floated gently in the centre of the ball. Then under Jack’s direction she slammed the ball into the sword.
There was a flash of white light and the rune stone was gone. There was a rune now engraved on the hilt.

You may skip the game introduction part if you can't be bothered reading the prologue.

I would help you out, but iso sprites take forevers...especially in a 'ragnarokish' style.
But I wouldn't mind drawing a few miscelaneous..things or..something, here's a past sprite of mine in a sort of 'ragnarok-non-iso' style..

good luck d0x.
