I sent Ryan from 3ee my open sourced game (which ive been working on for over 2 years)
I had no choice, his Moogame object wasnt working properly and he said he could fix it if I gave him my open source.

I was hoping for a pre-christmas release as the moogame "bug" was the only thing left to fix.

Prior to sending Ryan my app we talked almost everyday and I considered him a friend on MSN, the moment I gave him my open source he disappeared.
No sign of him for 2 months now.

Ive tried e-mailing, calling his mobile, sending texts... no reply

If anyone has ANY information on where Ryan is.. or what has happened to him please reply or contact me by e-mail steve2278@hotmail.com

Im very worried. Also, I tried posting something in the offical clickteam forums about this, but mysteriously it was LOCKED instantly by moderators.

Thanks in advance

We lock those topics because they aren't related to Clickteam. Just because MMF has MooClick/MooSock doesn't mean there is any other relation with 3ee, so any questions you have couldn't be answered anyway.

I haven't been able to contact anyone from 3ee for months. Presumably they've both moved on to other things. A shame, really - they've left some really cool extensions, but no way of getting MooGame, and no more updates to their other extensions.

I doubt this is a ploy to steal your source or anything as 3ee are very trustworthy.

Well, if 3ee has "moved on" it would have been nice if Ryan could have told me that instead of leaving me here wondering what to do next with the project.
We talked almost every day up until the point I gave him my open source. I'm not suggesting he has stolen it (what would be the point? ive copyrighted it all anyway)

I can't come to any logical conclusion as to what has happened and, ridiculous as "Phizzys" idea of Ryan being dead, it IS actually the only thing that makes sense.

If he was planning a 3 month holiday he could have let me know or mentioned it.
If he decided he hated clickteam and wanted to "move on" as Tigerworks says then, again he could at least send me a quick note saying so, surely!?

People can "leave the internet" for loads of reasons, anything from internet access being cut off to simply not wanting to come back. I've no idea what the real reason is. Don't jump to conclusions!

I'm responding to this post because I normally don't respond to posts.

BTW what problem were you having with moogame?

Tiger, I am not jumping to conclusions.
It is not just the internet he hasnt responded to; he isnt answering phone/text messages either. IF he decided to "leave the internet" as you suggest why didnt he let me know first? If he lost his internet, surely he could get to someone who does have internet?

Ryan KNEW how much this project meant to me; I was expecting him to send back the file the very next day; he was as excited as I was about the game
(he has a preview's on his site for it and even built a special MOS just for my game)
--------
The problem I was having with moogame: the deadreackoning/autotracking only worked "sometimes" and at best only with no greater than 2 people.

People do usually announce when they're leaving. Some forums have whole sections so they can post their farewells

Dead reckoning/autotracking only working "sometimes" is a known problem. It's not actually MooGame's fault, but the setup of your network. Most people with misconfigured routers, internet connection sharing, NAT etc (probably at least a third of people on the internet come under this category) cannot receive UDP, a special faster internet packet of data used for tracking movements. You can send it, but not receive it from other people. You need to do port forwarding and things to get it to work.

The only way to guarantee messages arrive is to use normal Send Text (not blast) or Send Guaranteed mode. This uses slower TCP though.

I've removed all of moogame's autotracking and programmed my own deadreckoning now; its taken about 4 weeks - I honestly didnt think I could pull it off, I had almost resigned myself to giving up.

The game can only handle around 8 players at a time though, better than nothing I guess but it's not what was originally planned (with 3EE's Moogame).

It would be nice to know sometime in the future whatever happened to Ryan but I guess nobody knows

Thanks for your comments all.
