I've been working some more on my game, Tyrant of Isle Maurico. Here's some screens.
First one is the mountain, home to the magician, and a certain rare flower grows here.

Second is the beach, this is where Sanchez meets Sarah for the first time.

Finally a screen of a scene upgraded from the demo. The arcadegame looks lots better now, and there's the addition of a crate of drinks. Anyone thirsty?

your screenies don't look pretty "awesome" to me, you should add more shading and light effects. It look like a paper boy and a paper world.

It's a platform adventure. You collect items like in Monkey Island, but you play it as a platform game. I love the MI games and point and click adventures though.

Whoo. I'm looking forward to it.
You should create a PnK game after this one, too (Point & Klik ).

i think its pretty ugly looking. hardly any shading on the character, lots of detail (spray paint can) on the sand, gradients for frees and sky. what were you thinking...

The sand was made using several layers of gradients, finished off with monochrome noise.
I've made a quick shaded version of Sanchez: http://web.comhem.se/~u80400261/shadesanchez.png
I don't like the way it affects his eyes. If I decide to shade, I'll have to refine it a little.

He looks more embossed than shaded. I like your drawing style pretty well, very unique. Although I'm one of those people that would put graphics as a low-ish priority. Then again, you are showing us screenshots which are ment to show off the graphics or level designs in some cases.

Yeah, I made a filter for shading, and as I said, I'll have to refine it a little. It really screws up the eyes at the moment, so I'll might use it on the bodies only. I might post another, refined shaded version.

Don't change the style because some people don't like the lack of shading. It seems to me that your game is supposed to look like it does and therefore looks good.
Although it also seems to have a weird resolution

A new screenie for you. The game is to be released within a month. You can see the new shading done by Nothing, ok?
