Yes, MSD was pretty successful. Whether it deserves it is a matter of opinion; personally I really don't think so. To be honest it doesn't really bother me one way or another; the only thing that does is Circy totally denying anybody's right to dislike his 'masterpiece'. You can't please everybody all of the time, Circ; just be grateful a mystifyingly large proportion of people seem to like it.
This bit goes for jay too: I could take a picture of my arse and probably get it in Loaded. It doesn't mean my arse is a fantastic gameplaying experience. And at least my arse doesn't contain any ripped sprites.
"Well we ALL think our own games are better than everyone elses." - This is the route of all sucking. All games have flaws - admitting it will help you make a better game next time around.
I just got home from another day of teaching 14 year olds, and it seems its just the same here.
Some people I used to respect are really disappointing me here. When will you guys stop whining about Jay ripping gfx? Its just something he might have done long ago, but why keep bugging him about that? Same goes for this MSD thing, how can you still be angry about something that happened almost a year ago? Maybe "I hope your mum will be ran over by ar car" is a bit harsh, but its still long ago. This is just the internet you know, and making games is just a hobby, and it's just pretty cool when your games are in mags and get good reviews on sites and stuff. You are taking it all way too serious, just like I did a couple of years ago.
Btw, to stay on topic, I am looking forward to MSD2.
I'm not denying anyone the right to have a negative opinion on my game. But you gotta admit, the way that Dustin wrote the MSD review at Klik-Me was pretty unpleasant. If he doesn't like the game, then I'm cool with that. I just wish that whenever theres an MSD post cropping up that he doesnt try to convince everyone to hate it aka "Anyone who liked MSD has my sympathy".
MSD had flaws. It was hard to kill enemies without getting hurt and the lack of a proper save feature narked almost everyone off. But I'm not making games for anyone here; I make them for myself because its a hobby which I enjoy. I like to share my work around, and if you don't like my constant double edged outlined graphics and 2D platformers, well, tough luck. Nobody's forcing you to play my games.
People like Dustin just don't get it do they? No matter how many people disagree with what they say, they go on and bloody on. It's like they are right no matter what people say.
Dustin, haven’t you worked out why you’ve been banned so many times now? Or doesn’t the fact that you are unwanted become apparent in that thick skull of yours?
This is weird.. why is everyone going crazy about this game.

Actually I think it's my magnum opus, review-wise. What's ironic about this whole mess is Circy did an equally negative review/followup to Punch it! The difference? Punch It! wasn't made by an admin on the Daily Click. They're equally disgusting games.
